<3ing...

16th to 19th century royalty, history, literature, intrigue, fashion, and obviously the movies based on them:

Reproduction dresses from movies that I wish to make...or steal:

"Elizabeth I: The Virgin Queen" when she is dancing in the fields

The famous green dress from "The Other Boleyn Girl"

    Love these ones too

Recently saw "The Young Victoria" and fell in love

There's so much more I could go on about for this topic...since I've recently made two medieval dresses from scratch, one for halloween and one for a creative research project for a renaissance lit class. A few of my friends and I have decided to start a special meeting once a month (every first saturday has so far been EVERY saturday since we thought this up three weeks ago) to watch a movie based on past royalty, literature, etc; then we sit around watching the DVD featurettes and looking up the 'truth' on wikipedia (because so much is changed for theatrical drama). It's already such a great tradition and makes me eager to make more dresses..I mean, LOOK AT THE FABRICS!!!

Any new obsessions come about for you recently?
