This blog is started in an effort to chronicle the decorating and renovating of my first condo as well as to share my creative passions and blab about fashion (including the occasional period reproduction), photography, online shopping, art, vintage paraphernalia, DIY, and life. Fashion Friday
Well, its friday! I have much more to celebrate besides just the end of the week, or posting inspiring fashion ideas....IT'S THE OLYMPICS!!! I am saddened by the news of the Georgian who died on the bobsleigh tracks this morning and am at least relieved that the tracks will be altered to prevent such a trajedy from ever repeating itself. The Olympic spirit will live on in the hearts of all the altheletes as they remember Nodar Kumaritashvili.
Today at 5pm the whole crazy thing will start. I am beyond excited. I plan to go downtown and absorb as much insane partying as possible, and as such, I am taking a break from Realistic Chic until this fiesta is over. I leave you with some Olympic paraphernalia I wish to purchase....HAVE A GREAT TWO WEEKS!
I hear the line-ups for The Bay's flagship store downtown are about 2 hours long...this should be interesting.

A Bathroom Romance
I don't know how realistic it is to have some of these pieces in a bathroom where steam and dirty business can pollute them, but they look so chic and romantic nonetheless:
The biggest thing that makes these bathrooms unrealistic (besides how expensive that kind of glamour would be to recreate) is how the majority of them have the light fixture directly above the bathtub; a big no-no in today's building regulations. Dreamy and lovely anyways, though. (Pictures are from google search).

Fashion Friday
ohemgee! I just watched episode two of Project Runway Australia's second season and GUESS what Amber is wearing?
Yes! A stunning flapper headpiece with embellishments dangling on the sides! I want one just like this.

It's curtains for me...
Shower curtains! Mmmm. I've bought the fabric to make my own. Here are some ones I love:
I think I've decided on making a layered curtain like that last one. I bought 6 metres of a lovely thick white cotton blend that is non-shrinking and should stand up to the environment; spent about $24! Take that, you $100+ curtains!

More Photography inspirations
I wish to recreate these shots sometime:
Sigh. I wish I was able to spend more quality time with my camera.
I don't know if my cat will stand for this one though, but it reminds me of Holly Golightly:

Black & White Prettiness
I'm feeling greyscale today:
The first shot is Gisele Bunsen and the last two shots are Zooey Deschanel but unfortunately, I have no idea who took these shots. If you know, then please post a comment and I'll update this!
