Worth a Thousand Words

This hat is like a modern Marie Antoinette!

Available via HeySailor's etsy shop.

I see it with a white dupioni Georgian-style dress. Pink ruffles. Mmm...ruffles.

Worth a Thousand Words

I love this shot for two major reasons: it carries two of my all-time favourite colours (coral and seafoam) and it inspires a desire to travel.

Worth a Thousand Words

"What if I should fall right through the centre of the earth...oh, and come out on the other side where people walk upside-down?" - Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland.

A house in Germany flipped on it's head. One word: Illogical.

No more teachers, no more books!

Finished my last two finals yesterday! I've somehow made it through yet another full-time semester! Relatively unscathed, no less. Go me. Now I have three whole weeks until my next one starts. Until then...

Worth a Thousand Words

An oldie but a goodie, this promo shot from Anthropologie (of course) is TO DIE FOR. This gorgeous bed will be in my grasp at some point in my life. But queen size. I like my space.
Does this whisk you away at all? Perhaps to your own little slice of Paris? Or do you find it to be a little much on the textile side? My one word sum-up for this: Antoinette.

Adaptation: A Little Princess

"Every girl everywhere is a princess."

A Little Princess (1995) is not to be confused with The Little Princess, the 1939 version starring Shirley Temple. Now, both versions are very good, but I have a special place in my heart for the newer one as it was an integral part of my childhood (okay, so I was 12 when this came out...what's your point?). I mean it when I say this because, since I never played sports, books and movies pretty much ran my life.

Liesel Matthews does a wonderful job playing little Sarah Crewe. This character must be one of the most pure heroes in children's literature. So beautiful on the inside and out, Sarah is a reminder to be kind no matter what your situation is. She is considerate and kind, and isn't afraid to speak out and stand up for the things that she believed in. She is a true princess:
